In the Kids Korner are items from the past that they can touch or wonder about how it worked or be amazed that someone built that.
Examples they can enjoy
- An old abacus that they can practice their numbers on
- An old parking meter they can open up to see how it works
- Weighing themselves on a really ancient sidewalk scale
- Pushing a wooden butter churn back and forth and back again
- Turning the crank round and round on a old corn sheller
- Ringing the Captains bell that was used to tell when lunch was ready
- Seeing a 6 ft rattlesnake skin with the rattles still attached
- Discovering a lawnmower that cuts grass but doesn't have any wheels
- Seeing a cowboy bathtub where he washed but kept his boots on
- Seeing real Civil War cannonballs of various sizes
- Seeing many real indian arrowheads and spearheads
- Pushing and trying to move a 450 pound bale of cotton
- Seeing an horse pulled buggy the Amish used in Pennsylvania
- Touching a car wheel that has wooden spokes
